Smoking Ban proponents celebrates limits on free speech!
I've been warning people of the coming of the health police for a couple of years now, but never have taken it quite seriously... I knew it was coming but so many other things seem to fill up my plate... (and the fat guy says yummy).
It wasn't until this past week that I realized just how much I could have been touting about the coming of the health police when I had to do more research to find the stories I already knew about. Stories seem to evaporate from the internet somehow, some way.
While doing my research on the health police, I came across this scary site by some fanatical health zealots... self appointed health zealots... at least, I didn't ask them to protect me from every little dangerous thing on the market.
While many people think that it's not that big of a deal that they are going after smokers, I do think it's a huge deal. There is no rest for the wicked (health police) and we should be ever vigilant in the defense of freedom. People may think they are merely going after smokers to "clean up the air", as the no smoke zealots would have you believe that...
But if it were merely just cigerettes they were concerned about, why then infringe on people's freedom of speech? Or of the press? I'll bet these anti First Amendment health zealots also hate the second Amendment too.
What am I talking about here? Glad you asked.....
Despite EU legislation brought in during the summer, Ferrari, Honda, Jordan and Renault continued to run tobacco advertising in 2005 and this has created problems for some French publications. According to TSN three newspapers have now been fined for publishing images showing tobacco branding.
Le Point, Le Monde and Les Echos faced charges in Paris from 'Rights of Non-Smokers' who took action against the papers and were fined between 800 and a 1000 Euros each plus costs and damages. While the fines themselves are relatively small, it is clear that publications need to be careful when selecting images that accompany relevant articles. Banzhaf.

Fined for publishing images because some auto makers had tobacco advertisements of tobacco products on their cars and the newspapers inadvertently picked it up...
And these people celebrate it like it's a victory?
While the fines themselves are relatively small, it is clear that publications need to be careful when selecting images that accompany relevant articles.
The fines are relatively small? For people that aren't even smoking? For exercising free speech and free press? The self appointed health zealots are so afraid that just the sight of a cigarette brand will force you to smoke, but some how all the signs along the highway that encourage people to quit cigarettes, that actually serves to remind smokers to light up, is going to encourage people just the opposite?
Subliminal images- horrible, a huge cigarette on a billboard- good. Let's fine these anti smoking advocates for each billboard they put up that shows a cigerette, smoke, or mentions smoking as well....
I know it's France, and nobody expects much from them anyway, but the point is clear... The anti smoking movement isn't about health, it's about freedom. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Oh Micheal Moron, meet with him
Since so many people wanted President Bush to meet with Cindy Sheehan more than once for whatever blah blah blah she had... You know, who is Cindy Sheehan anyway? Just some self righteous nutcase who plays to the camera by putting on a sad face as if she just lost her son yesterday, but really is doing all this for attention. She's a woman that needs a straight jacket, not more media attention... much less any more face time with the most powerful man in the world.
Yet, these left wing nuts out there raised a fuss that the President did not meet with a "Gold Star" mother, Cindy Sheehan a second time. Now, these left wing nuts out there, who supposedly supports our military, won't insist that Michael Moron meet with a soldier that Moron featured in his talking points flick "Propaganda 9-11"
It seems as though Michael Moron completely misrepresented Sgt. Peter Damon's request to meet with Michael theMoron, in fact, theMoron wouldn't even return Sgt Damon's phone calls.
In fact, theMoron won't even talk about it... but Sgt. Damon will get to meet theMoron, it'll just be in court...
If theMoron was so supportive of the troops, why won't he actually listen to them?

Uh-oh, Looks Like I've Done It Now
I am probably going to take a hit for this (no pun intended) but I have really grown sick and tired of the extremism of the big anti-tobacco lobbyost and their never ending propaganda.
I do not doubt their intentions to save the world from evils, but I also keep in mind that history has taught us over and over again that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
History has shown us that people will make up radical accusations to abolish a substance that they do not approve of, such was the case in the 1930's when a movie was made called 'Reefer Madness' which exxagerated the effects of marijuana.
We also know what what happened during prohibition and how the prohibitionist are now viewed as being zealots. You can not dictate behaviour to people and the extremism of forcing people of not committing an act that you don't approve of eventually leads to the spread of that very act.
In the 1930's and 40's, the Nazis in Germany were very big on Aryan health (strength through purity), encouraging Aryans to have babies and giving them an Aryan name, teaching them to eat healthy German food instead of junk food from foriegn countries, worried about asbestos, and attempted to abolish both alcohol and yes, cigerettes. In fact, so much was the case, that Hitler himself ordered that smoking be prohibited on trains and buses because he was concerned about the effects that the secondhand smoke would have on the ticket takers (sound familiar to anybody?)
About the only thing missing from the Nazi anti-smoking propaganda that I have yet to see from the dictatorial anti -smokers is how the Nazi's portrayed smoking as an act of Jews, Blacks, and loose women.
With last thing being said, I half way expect the anti-smoking zealots to start giving us "facts" that 85% of rapist are smokers, 91% of child molestors smoke, and that 74% of dead beat daddies are smokers. If somebody wanted to manipulate the big anti - smoking lobbyist's stand on illegal immigration, all one would have to do is claim that 43% of illegal immigrants are smokers, and the anti-cigerette zealots would be demanding that Bush line up the Marines on the border and start mowing the immigrants down with their machine guns.
It's a mob mentallity of the zealots that won't stop with ending smoking in public places as they already started to go after more personal property, not just business property. One Louisiana legislative zealot has sponsored a bill that would prohibit smoking in ones car if there is a minor in the car. Another Californian zealot has sponsored legislation that prohibits smoking in the car altogether. This opens the door to prohibit smoking in ones house since cars are an extension of your home. More importantly, this opens the door to private property issues and what you can or can't do in your home even further.
With that being said, I believe that it's time to support the legalization of marijuana. Up until this point, I have supported the continued ban on marijuana, but the radicalism and extremism of the big anti - smoking lobbyist has convinced me that Marijuana should be legal. I do not care for marijuana. I hate the way it smells, I can't stand what marijuana does to people, I find it abhorrent.
This is not being sarcastic, nor humorous. I sincerely believe that marijuana should be legalized. We can not continue down a road where self serving moral superior people who think they have all the answers to save every one of us from the ills of small plants dictate to us how we can and cannot enjoy life.
These people, who's intentions is to save us from death, do not offer us eternal life. Their own fear of death is the pinnacle of cowardice. They tell us they don't want to die of a heart attack, or cancer, or stroke, or asthma, then exactly how do they plan to die? Do they have some secret medicine that they haven't shared with the rest of us that saves them only if they don't inhale second hand smoke? Truth is, whether or not there's second hand smoke in the air, you are still destined to die.
With or without big government, death is meant to be for each and every one of us. How free we live our own lives is our own free will, but we also must remember, that with each passing of a new law, we have deprived future generations, our own children, of the very freedoms that we once enjoyed. Instead of breaking our own necks to remove the ideology that we live in a free country where people a free to live their own lives, perhaps we'd be much better off demanding some of our freedom back.
It is not our Right to be the thieves that deprives posterity of freedom. It's not our place to dictate to other people how they can or can not live simply because we choose to be so selfish to want to live a mere three or four extra years only to be greeted by the welcoming arms of darkness that we once thought we'd cheat.
The self serving act of cheating death only leads to the chains of slavery.
Legalize Marijuana. Legalize it now.

Oh Denny, Say It Ain't So
When the FBI agents raided Representative William Jefferson's capitol hill office, few people thought that FBI wasn't without just cause. In fact, it seems the only people in the United States that believed this to be unconstitutional were the Washingtonians. After all, this is the same representative that commandeered National Guardsmen during the Hurricane Katrina rescue to unload some boxes (documents?) from his own home. What was more important than saving lives in New Orleans? Like you and I, the FBI wanted to know.
When the House members seemed uneasy about it, they raised the eyebrows, but nothing said guilty more than when Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert complained to President Bush that it was unconstitutional for house members to have their capitol hill offices searched even when the FBI has a search warrant.
When the house members complained, perhaps the rest of us wondered who else was guilty. Why should the Representatives and Senators be the only ones above the law? Dennis Hastert answered that question for us, and now the FBI has confirmed it. Apparently Dennis Hastert is fearful that the FBI might search his own office.
The inevitable return of the Liberal Church
I really wasn't planning on bringing back the Liberal church, at least not for a while, but then somebody dropped this gem on me and I knew I had to bring it back. From Airhead America Radio comes your religious views. I think they stole my idea.

Why I Supported the Re-election of Nagin
Many of you outside of Louisiana are completely miffed that so many of us in Louisiana supported the re-election campaign of Ray-cist Nagin, especially after his chocolate city comments. The fact of the matter is, who was better to run the city than Ray Nagin?
Yeah, I read what Michelle Malkin and others had to say, but the fact of the matter is, Republicans put Nagin over the top. It's Nagin that most New Orleans Republicans voted for in the general election. Here's a few reasons why.
Let's take a look at what we had to choose from out of a field of several candidates:
Kimberly Butler.... Here is a most excellent choice, a lady who is facing both criminal charges and civil charges arising during. In her official role in city government, she disobeyed a judges order by not producing official documents as well as facing civil charges from Disney when she used Disney's New Orleans quarters photo from their website on her website touting her for mayor of New Orleans. Class act.
Peggy Wilson.... She had the endorsement of the Republican apparat, but once again, the Louisiana Republican apparat found itself at odds with the common Republican voter. Why does the Louisiana Republican apparat keep insisting that they have so much influence that their endorsement of one candidate over another Republican candidate actually makes us want to vote against the candidate we really like?
Couhig.... Here was the Republican with the best chance but quite frankly, I don't even remember his first name. I'd much rather have seen a Couhig- Nagin runoff than a Landrieu- Nagin runoff.
Mitch Landrieu Need I say more than Landrieu? Son of former mayor Moon Landrieu who helped bring New Orleans to the decadent city that it is (was). Sister of a United States Senator that threatened to punch George Bush, endorsed by Kathleen Blanco, the DNC, and most of the black Democrat apparat? If Mitch had won re-election, it would have been a body blow to Republican hopes for the future of Louisiana, and a sign against President Bush. He also outspent the incumbent mayor more than 6 to 1.
Mayor Ray-Cist Nagin Outside of saying racist and other stupid things, Mayor Nagin wasn't that bad of a mayor. A black mayor, who won by not winning the black vote, but won the white vote, Nagin was making strides in ending corruption in the city. He was a successful businessman, and a prominent black Democrat that endorsed both Bush for President and Republican Bobby Jindal for governor. He was, is, about as Republican as you are going to get within the city of New Orleans. Nagin's re-election is an endorsement for Bush and a sign that Kathleen Blanco really is in deep trouble.
More importantly, it's another lesson to Democrats, don't go into the states and cause trouble, lest ye be defeated. Like Florida and Ohio, the trouble that the Democrat party tried to cause in Louisiana is only helping Republicans.

WWDD - What Would Democrats Do?
If elected, Democrats will be more focused on impeaching Bush than eradicating terrorist.
If elected, Democrats would probably put a tax on the gasoline to punish the big oil companies, which would be passed on to the consumer.
If Democrats win, they'll stay in Iraq until it's time to withdraw. They'll also fight smarter, whatever that means.
If Democrats win, they'll save you from unhealthy things like cigerette smoke, tasty ice cream cones, fast food, and Soda Pops.
If Democrats win, there will be a health policeman at your convenience to fine you for being unhealthy with your body.
If the government's paying for your health, your health becomes property of the government, expect more socialized healthcare.
If Democrats get elected, expect your taxes to go up. Don't laugh, somebody's got to pay for those higher gas prices that the federal government incurs.
If Democrats get elected, expect them to be friendly with enemies such as Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, and the Iranian Scarface. Hey, why go to war and a few lives when you can wait and lose a lot of lives and be hailed as a great President like Roosevelt?
If Democrats win, more money will leave your pocket and end up in the hands of people that didn't work for your money.
If Democrats win, will have a Kathleen Blanco like response to national disasters.

My future and the Liberal church
I sit here tonight forcing myself to do a blog post thinking about what happened to me just over a year ago. Each day, I struggled to post and because I had nothing to post about, I posted nothing. The worst mistake that a man can make is to do nothing because he could only do a little.
Days turned into weeks, and soon months went by with very little blog activity. Before I knew it, my readership had dropped dramatically and I found myself struggling to get back readers. Eventually I picked them back up but now I seem to find myself back at those very crossroads of not blogging again.
The problem is that life happens. I'm focused on my on future, the future of my career, the future of my life. On the other hand, I see political involvement in that future, even if only the words I type. Politics is something that I strongly believe impacts all of our lives and the battle is critical each and everyday. The more control we concede, the more our future is decided for us. The more we depend on government, the less we depend on God, the less we depend on God, the more government becomes our God.
It's the future that has left my present very little time for the internet, and though I will not stop blogging completely, it has forced me to blog less; I am spending less time on the internet.
When I started the 'Liberal church', I meant it as a comedic warning to conservatives and liberals. I get a sense of radicalism from liberals and some conservatives that they believe their party is always right, no matter what. They have no sense of direction in their own political beliefs, just that the other side is filled with demons and thus, by default, their party is the correct one.
It's become a cult-like behavior and the intent was to make people stop and think about their own personal behavior. Are you one that follows the nightly news and political talkshows and gets your views from them? Do you watch television and movies and allow your political views to be influenced by them? What about music? Do you let them brainwash you as well?
I have researched into how nations become totalitarian and though I have found that they vary from nation to nation, there are some common things. The accusation that the opposing political party harbors a 'culture of corruption' has been very common. Disruption of the economy is key. The attempt of incarcerating people of a different political persuasion, even while in the minority is a definitive action. Is this beginning to sound familiar?
It's been historical, since the beginning of government, that government tries to silence those of opposing viewpoints. One needs only to look at the Bible to see that Jesus Christ was brutally murdered over his words while the murderer Barrabas was set free. Today, that mentality still exists.
We have those among us the clamor to see people thrown into jail simply because they are not liked. They want to see Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Delay, even Martha Stuart, and Ken Lay imprisoned not necessarily because they did something wrong, but rather because what they stood for. It's radicalism to be so adamanant to wish ill will onto a person you've never even met. These same people that would throw people in jail, regardless of their innocence of guilt, would see to it that murderers such as Tookie Williams set free. Sound familiar?
The cult like activism would have children aborted merely because they pose a threat to the career of another, but do not wish to confront those that would see our society cease to exist as we know. Careers can overcome a new child, or nation cannot be rescued from appeasement.
The other day, while enjoying a cup of the best coffee ever, I was engaged in a discussion with a gentleman that goes on missionary trips. Shortly into the conversation, he mentioned that the churches aren't divided into religious camps, but rather political camps and didn't understand why. I explained to him that socialism has a cult like behavior, that government is the great provider, government is their God. They believe it's their duty to use any means necessary to see that their God (government) is in control of everybodies life. They will infiltrate so they can divide, then conquer. To them, government is the great savior and they see theirselves as angels doing the lord's work. They believe it's bestowed upon them to save everybody else from theirselves. They are people that had no sense of purpose in their lives until they found their little niche in government to save people. They've convinced theirselves that their work is so important that they will rape their mothers and cut the throats of their siblings if necessary.
We can look around the world and see politicians acting uncivil, literally getting into fistfights at city council meetings and parliamentary affairs. The rudeness and contempt they show each other makes anything we see in the United States look like another sunny day in the Garden of Eden. And though I see the United States in a relatively peaceful manner, I wonder how much longer we will last if the radicalism continues.
I pray to God each day that my country does not go down that path of totalitarianism, but deep down inside my heart, I wonder just how much longer we will last. We have people that wake up each day with hatred in their hearts. Their entire lives seemed to be controlled with a hatred of President George Bush, not because of anything Bush has done, but because President Bush is part of the opposing party. It is nothing short of being a dangerous mentality.
It is my hope that those of you who read this seek truth, not the party party. Seek justice, not vengeance. Learn what history truly holds, not what you want it to be. Be reasonable, not a manipulated tool.
It's not that I am saying goodbye to you this night, I assure you that this blog will continue on, but there will no longer be a weekly Monday Night Bible Study nor the liberal church. This blog will just slow down somewhat and I do expect to post at least twice a week. I've sincerely enjoyed the last two years, but life happens. Until next time, be a free thinker.

Now we all know just how "biased" the press is against Liberals. In fact, while the MSM media continues to ignore the drug charges against Rush Limbaugh and his legal troubles that preceeded that and while they hardly mentioned the fact the Dick Cheney shot his friend, while allegedly drinking a beer, we know how they won't stop on poor Patrick Kennedy.
Can you hear the Right wing bloggers and the Right wing newsmedia such as CNN, CBS, and FOX? I'll bet every night we'll hear stories of whether or not there should be charges brought against Representative Kennedy concerning his Driving While Under the Influence. Right wing Organizations such as MADD will harrass him until he's in jail.
So what if he was breaking a few laws? He's a Democrat so it's okay for him to break the laws. Are you really stupid enough to believe that Congressmen can't drive under the influence? At least Democrat Congressmen can.

Good evening folks, I'm Peter Peaceful and tonight we will be studying "International Workers Day". As you will learn, it's a great way to disrupt the economy and help institute communism into our lives! Today is a world wide day for people to take the day off and demand socialism! Most importantly, we finally have it in the United States. It is our time!
Yes, it's a big deal in the United States finally, but it's been effective time and time again. What's so ironic is that the first 'International Workers Day' started right here in the United States in Chicago during 1886.
The United States working poor took to the streets and demanded better treatment as did the indigenous people in Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. I'm proud to say that the Americas were not alone.
Africans, Muslims, Europeans, and Orientals all took part in protests. The Neo-National Socialist Party in Germany took part in aggressive May Day protests. They may be new but they sure hold onto tradition.
In London more socialist marched for their right to have government dictate their lives, I mean, for government to decide what's best for them.
In Russia, marchers remembered the greatness of Lenin and Marx, all over the world, workers stood up and demanded a general interruption of the economy so when they lose their jobs, the government can help them with some money.
Perhaps the greatest day in International Workers Day was in 1940, when the National Socialist Chancellor sealed off the Lodz Ghetto so that no more poor people would live there. He ended poverty in Poland by prohibiting new people from moving into the ghetto. A day that will live in Socialist lore.

In announcements, our missionaries in Afghanistan and Iraq have successfully committed 4,815 acts of protest against Bush's Islamic Holocaust. It was a decent week as there were 49 more successful protests! Please keep the protestors of Bush's Islamic Holocaust in your prayers.
In other announcements, we, here at the liberal church, are looking for a permanant Reverend to lead our ministry of Deminsanity. We shall look high and low, before we settle on somebody.

Wow Dia Verde, amazing song. That was genius of you to say Bush is Hitler. It almost blew my socks off! I thought I was the only one to realize Bush is just like Hitler. Those of you in the congregation, please don't do you research, just believe us.
Before we move on with the sermon, I want to tell you a couple of things about the music you just heard. You may have heard of an American band called 'Green Day'. Well, this group of undocumented working musicians came to America looking for a better way of life, free healthcare, and a nice fat welfare check. Then one day they saw Green Day and decided to form a band named after them, Dia (Day) and Verde (Green) and they are now trying to steal Green Day's day job. A true liberal inspiration.
Also, isn't it so wonderful that now hispanics can now sing the National Anthem? We are currently working on a Chinese version, a Portugese version, a Japanese version, a North Korean as well as a South Korean version, a German version, an Italian version, a French version, a Canadien French version, a Bulgarian version, a Vietnamese version, an Arabic version, and many other versions.
We are also working on a Muslim version of God Bless America (Allah Bless America) and even a more sensitive and tolerant version titled Allah Bomb America for the passionate Muslims.
I think free speech is an important part of living in America, can I get a 'From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs'?
We have a right to stand up to this administration and tell them to shut their mouths or else! Or else we are going to follow their every footstep until we find something to prosecute them all! It's free speech to call Karl Rove in front of a Grand Jury as many times as possible because he says things that contradict the Deminsanity view. I promise you we will prosecute Karl Rove on something because he opposed Democrats too many times!
We'll get to him, just like we did Tom Delay! Tom Delay as been a thorn in moving our policies forward ever since he came to Washington so he deserves to go to jail. He should rot there in prison where he'll be manhandled by prison thugs all day and all night. It doesn't matter if he broke the law! What matters is that he opposed us! How dare he ever speak out against your Democrat Gods?!?
We finally have a mug shot on Rush Limbaugh! It took us a while but I really think we are getting good at this. We had to search long and hard but finally, we found something. Normally we'd let him get by with rehab and drop the case, but he's a Republican so he should suffer to the full extent of the law. In fact, we ought to double the punishment for him because he's a Republican, and then double it again because he's a Christian. I'm so sick of Christians shoving their moral values down my throat. Every movie that I see has Christians shoving their moral values down my throat!
I saw a movie the other day and a Christian didn't believe in murder in this movie. I was so upset that I demanded my money back! How dare they show a movie without murders! Stupid Christians always shoving their moral values down our throats. If everybody would just live their life like we told them to, the world would be so much better.
Sheesh, I hate them Christians forcing their moral values of love onto me! Just the thought of Christians makes me so angry that I, well I just wish we had a whole lot more prosecutors out there to find something, anything they can, to shove all the Christians into prisons. I know they have done something illegal. We make room in our prisons by letting all the drug dealers go free, and free the Tookie Williams's of the world.
It's just not fair that Republicans are allowed to have free speech so they can shove their moral values down our throats! What do they do with it anyway? Tell our children not to have sex? It's our right to tell our children to have sex just as long as they wear condoms. In fact, it's our duty to tell all children to wear a condom. It's our duty to give children of Christian parents condoms because their parents won't. All Christians need to do is realize that our way of life is better and start living like we tell them too.
It's up to us, the liberals in America to save the children. If it's not for us, who will tell children what they can eat? If it's not for us, who's going to teach children to tolerate everybody except Christians? It's liberals that know right from wrong and it's our duty to make sure everybody knows what right and wrong, or those Christians will shove their moral values down their throats!
Ooh those Christians get my blood boiling. Just the thought of them gets me heated up. Why can't Christians be about love your nieghbor? Why can't they be for tolerance? Christians just don't have the tolerance that we have. I hate Christians so much that the thought of them gets me off my sermon.
I want to get back to free speech. Free speech is something that is available to everybody. We at the Liberal church firmly believe in free speech as long as you agree with us. If you ever get confused about what you are supposed to say, just watch the Sunday morning talk shows, the news, or any of your Democrat Gods and you will be fine. I must warn you though, if any of you stray to far from what you are supposed to say, just think about how we searched and searched until we finally got Tom Delay and Rush Limbaugh. You don't want to be next.
Let us bow our heads and don't forget your tax payment. Oh Holy Spirit Che, thank you for your divine sense of right and wrong. Help us lead our nation into a world that we think is best for everybody to live in. Fill their wicked hearts to accept right and wrong as we see it. Holy Spirit Che Guevera, we worship you.

Best movie since 'Passion of the Christ'. Go see this movie. If you are a liberal, think of the movie as a victory since your side took out three United States buildings. If you are conservative or simply just love this country, watch it, remember 9-11.
