Tips on Being A Better Liberal
Today, I am trying something new. I don't plan on this becoming a staple of Louisiana Conservative like the Liberal church and Monday Night Bible Study for libs has become. This may be done twice a week, maybe once a month, maybe just this once. Who knows? Anyway, if you're a liberal, take my advice. If not, or you choose to live happier, do the exact opposite.
Tips on being more Liberal
1. When driving through a parking lot drive around for several minutes, even hours if necessary to find the closet parking spot next to the building. If, while driving around a car is pulling out, speed up and hit them so you can sue them. Remember, people owe you something and it doesn't matter what kind of financial shape the other person is in, you are more important.
2. When standing in a line at a store, be sure to find something to get mad about, that way, you can project your anger off onto the clerk checking you until they can't take it anymore. Once they start yelling back at you, and if they are liberal, they will yell back because like you, they are more important than everybody else. This will get them fired and you can then sue the store for mental distress, even though you started it, but make sure you blame the store.
3. When looking for a job, take all applications that you acquired and shove them under the couch cushion. Then lay on the couch all day and guard those applications. If you fail to do this, they won't magically fill theirself out and give you a job. Also, failure to do this keeps opportunity knocking on your door. Just lay there on the couch, watching television, and sooner or later you will have somebody knocking on your door offering you a job starting at $15 an hour because that's how much you deserve for starting pay. Do not accept a job for anything less, because as you know, you are more important than everybody else.
4. If you are bumming money, be sure not to take a shower for weeks. This helps expediate the process of bumming money. Once people smell you, they realize how much you need the money and they begin to throw money at you. However, sometimes you get a selfish Republican type that doesn't understand that you are more important than he is. He may ask you "why should he work and you don't have too?". If this happens, tell him that you do work, that you work cleaning up the streets, or something like that. Then you curse at him because you are more important than he is and he's too stupid to understand that.
5. Parents, as you know children will do what ever they want to do, even though you are the most important person in the world and everybody owes you something. Do not encourage your children to abstain from having sex, in fact encourage them by giving them condoms. When giving them condoms be sure to tell them "I know you are going to do want you want to do anyway so when having sex, we HOPE you want to wear condoms". You can't tell them to wear condoms because as you know children will do what they want to do anyway so it doesn't help to tell them to wear condoms. In fact, don't get mad at your children when they fight, skip school, join gangs, or anything else. Children are just going to do what they want to do so you don't need to worry at all.

"Property is surely a right of mankind as real as liberty." --John Adams and I thought that was a pretty good post that went with it.
And then I discovered Firefox... it seems like so much longer that I have been using firefox.

I have made a switch. I no longer am using Internet Explorer. From now on I am using Firefox Mozilla. It seems to have stopped my popup problem so I will continue to use it. Thank you Mozilla.

I just went to see V for Vendetta and being the Right
Wing Extremist that I am, went in looking for liberal
propaganda. Of course I found it, but the movie is
actually pretty good and would definitely recommend it
on DVD but not at the theater.
Even though it was in London, the blame America first
crowd had their say in this movie... It's America's
fault because they got involved in Iraq and England
became the target of terrorist attacks.
Also, Homosexuals are 'oppressed' for no reason, and
'Christians' are the big government oppressors. Oh and
the big Pharmacuetical companies were a big part of
the oppression. Oh, the 'Koran' was against the law
and a thing of 'beauty'.
Oh, the 'Voice of London' was a Limbaugh like
character. The conservative party was duping the
public, and I think that's about it for liberal
propaganda in the movie. Outside of that, the movie
was pretty good, but don't waste 10 bucks on this
movie, I already did that for you.
However, comparing this to Jughead (Jarhead) this
movie is a must see on DVD, whereas Jughead was a
'must throw away' on DVD. Really, watch it on DVD.

The following post is a call to conservatives to unite this election cycle to make sure that the left does not win. Each word in this post links to a different conservative blog. I hope that you enjoy it.
The WRight Wing Militia
"I, _____, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. All enemies, foreign and domestic. Foreign and domestic. Domestic.
While our military is busy fighting and dismantling our foreign enemies, our domestic enemies have stepped up their battle against our country. Time and time again, those that do not wish to see America succeed have used every ounce of energy to ensure that America fails in its mission to defend freedom.
If one were to listen to America's domestic enemies, one would think that Hugo Chavez was the pride and joy of liberty. You'd think, after listening to enemies of America, that President George Bush was the world's greatest terrorist. You'd think that Americans deserved 9-11.
Yet, time and time again, we are told not to question each other's Patriotism, despite how much disdain for this country a person shown. These domestic enemies would have us believe that Patriotism means to desire America's defeat.
For many, Patriotism means not to fight terrorist in countries that breed terrorism, but to fight them here within our borders. Patriotism, for them, means to stand for Palestinians as they bomb Israel, all the while, they are blaming Israel for Palestinian behavior.
And though our friends in uniform are actively fighting for freedom overseas, it's the duty of American citizens not surrender those very freedoms that our military is fighting for. It's our duty to keep freedom intact, so that when the men and women in uniform return home, they recognize the country they left.
Our domestic enemies have yet to show that they are truly concerned with the freedoms that belong to all men, regardless of country. It's the love of freedom that desires liberty for all, not just Americans. It's the faith that all men are created equal that gives credence to the belief that all nations are capable of living with liberty and without tyranny.
We have a choice this year as to which direction our country goes. That fork in the road can lead us in two very different directions. That fork in the road is called the Elections of 2006.
That choice we have, can either lead us on the course that we are heading. It's a course that hasn't been easy because the desire of the enemy is strong. That desire has only been strengthened by the enemy within. A defeat to the domestic enemies is a giant blow to the strength and will of our foreign enemies.
The other choice is to vote off course, to lead our nation into a much greater division during a time of war. A decision to divide this country even further while one party controls a congress that would be fighting tooth and nail against the President as he leads this fight against terrorism. A decision that encourages terrorism as withdrawing our troops would save them from the jaws of defeat. And to keep the President from putting conservatives on the Supreme Court.
That choice means a congress that believes America is at fault for 9-11. That choice means congress will spend more time on new laws in the name of security and much less time on defending freedom. That choice means congress will empower big government to protect us from ourselves, but won't address terrorism at its core. The choice is clear, finish the war, our let the government bring the war home. What will you choose?
For the Wright Wing Militia, that choice is clear. The War on Terrorism must be fought and won on foreign soil. A loss in Iraq will encourage our smaller enemies like Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela. The love of America is the love of freedom, and that the love of freedom requires, at times, war.
The Wright Wing bloggers understands that the overzealous want of peace leads to greater wars, but the willingness to go to war, brings peace. It is for peace that the war must be won, failure only leads to more battles.
So while the Main Stream Media speaks of division within the Republican Party and the left wing gets bolder, the Wright Wing Militia gears up and prepare for battle. The Wright Wing Militia won't go down that easy, as Dan Rather and others found out in 2004. The battle for 2006 is just beginning and I assure you that the Wright Wing Militia will be ready!

The new liberal church sermon is up at Hard Astarboard and as you South Parketeers know, it's my favorite episode. This week, Chicago Mayor Daley wants the gun owners of Illinois to explain to him why they need "assault rifles". In this episode, Mayor Daley gets confused and thinks Illinois is a suburb of Chicago. He must have studies geography from Jay Bennish.
I hope you enjoy!
In other news, I have had a very busy week. I have had lots of work to do. Since people don't just give me money, I have to go earn it. It's not a pretty sight. Sometimes I wish I were a Democrat because it's so much easier than getting a job. Sit around watching Oprah Winfrey, demanding that hard working people give me more of their money, calling myself compassionate because I want people to give to me, and all the while, I blame the Republicans because I'm poor.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those uncompassionate people that works hard so the government can take money from me and give it to others and take credit for being compassionate. For once, I wish these "compassionate people" would focus more on giving their own money, than they do other people's money.
But work hasn't been the only thing that's prevented me from blogging. This blog has prevented me from blogging. That's right, I blame the blog. Those liberal churches and bible studies takes a lot of time to do, but the ODE TO BLOGS are even more tedious and time consuming. Yes, another ODE TO BLOG is coming up and hopefully it gives Technorati a headache.
Finally, I have a small change in my lexicon. No longer will the Governors mansion be called the Governors Mansion, at least in Louisiana. Since George W. Bush does business out of the 'West Wing', then Kathleen Blanco must work out of the 'Waste Wing'.

Monday Night Bible Study 3-13-06
Welcome students to MNBS 101. My name is Peter Peaceful, I am the head Professor of liberal bible study. Tonight we are going to study 'Rights in a Compassionate World'. Let's get down to business. Please open your bibles up to Amendment XIII
Amendment XIII
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Slavery is defined as 'being forced to do something against your will by Republicans with out just compensation. When Republicans schedule you to work, without paying you extra, is in itself a form of slavery and is unconstitutional. More plainly spoken a violation of our bible. Remember, that does not apply to liberals, you must obey all liberal Democrats. A great example is Wal-mart which underpays it's employees, while on the other hand some companies that do the same thing are not in violation. The difference? Wal-mart gives more money to Republicans than they do Democrats, thus they qualify as sweatshop status and are in violation of the bible. Wal-mart is unconstitutuional.
I want to call the class's attention to a dissertation from one average student. Let me read a bit to you...
Yeah, you read that title correctly.
Where exactly do humans get the idea that it's a good thing to kidnap other creatures, and put them in cages? The reason given by zoo advocates is human education. But that answer doesn't wash. First of all, what makes our knowledge of another species more important than their freedom?
That's a nice attempt at being liberal but can anybody tell me why this dissertation would fail to be of the liberalus cum laude quality?
Nobody? No rising stars in this class? You there, in the back, please rise. Tell me, what you thought.
Student: "Well sir, I think he did a wonderful job of identifying oppression."
Prof PP: "Yes, what else?"
Student: "And he also spoke of the poor not being taken care of by the government"
Prof PP: "Yes, but what is wrong with it, there are some key elements missing. What are they?"
Student: "He didn't blame Bush?"
Prof PP: "Correct-a-mundo! You may have a seat"
George H(itler) W(armonger) Bush did not shoulder any of the blame, in fact he blames the mayor. The mayor? Obviously he didn't do his research. The mayor is Antonio R. Villaraigosa and he is a liberal, though he prefers to be called 'a progressive'. This is totally unacceptable.
He even blamed Villaraigosa for the homeless problem in Los Angeles, when in fact, whenever a liberal is in control of the city, he fails to take care of his own people because of the Republicans. In this case, his best bet would be to blame Governor Arnold Schwartzanegger, since he's the Republican Governor of California. However, sometimes you can't blame the Gov., so in those situations, blame the Republican President. It's always acceptable to blame Republicans.
Another thing that M.A. failed to do was compare the zoos to torture as effectively as possible. Off the top of my head, he could have titled his dissertation "A-ZOO GHRAIB" but even better would have been "A ZOO SLAVE" or "The Elephant Holocaust". Anytime you can remind people of Abu Ghraib, the Nazi's, slavery, and/or torture, and mention the zionist warmonger named Bush, you are well on your way to high quality writing. Why are these words so important?
1. Slavery - To remind blacks they better vote Democrat or Republicans will kill them.
2. Holocaust - To make people think about the 'H' in the Satan Bush's name (Hitler).
3. Abu Ghraib - To make people think about their own destiny in Bush's torture chambers if he doesn't get impeached.
4. Torture - Same as three.
Getting back to the positive aspects of M.A.'s prose, I found it simply marvellous that he was able to talk about both the oppression of homeless people and the oppression of elephants in the torture chambers called disguised by a nice name.
Many Republicans will laugh at him and call him an radical, but remember, all Republicans are Right Wing Christian Extremist, therefor they are wrong. M.A. is to be applauded for taking such a breath taking risk and having the courage to bring moderate thinking to the public. Most people are moderates, and with courageous people like M.A. speaking out against Bush making war against elephants for his rich oil buddies, more will stand up and speak out.
Defending M.A.
Had he simply blamed Bush and said something about Iraq, terrorism, or Abu Ghraib, this would be very easy to defend. However, that's why I chose this piece. My students need to know how to defend the undefendable!
So what I would do to defend this is the first line of defense, accuse his opposition of "supporting slavery" and "avoiding the real issue of homeless people"
Since he didn't blame Bush, it's your responsibility to pick up his slack. You blame Bush for spending money for the homeless on the war for oil in Iraq.
Accuse the person he is opposed to this of not caring about little 9 year old girls that sleep on cardboard boxes.
Folks, we are almost out of time, so we will conclude this class on another day, but your homework assignment...
1. Write an article on the suffering and oppression of zoo animals.
2. Point out how the money could be spent on the poor
3. Find a title that reminds people of Satan Bush
4. Find a way to blame REPUBLICANS.
(If you blame Bush, you have to include Cheney and Rove, and tie it in with Iraq.
5. Accuse Republicans of violating Amendment XIII
6. Compare Republicans to Nazis
7. Address the negative impact on the environment that the Zoos are having
8. Explain why taxes need to be raised on the rich.
Extra Credit Find reasons why people who oppose your prose are uncompassionate

John McCain had it handed to him. I don' t know who considered John McCain the frontrunner, or why they did, but obviously he's not. John McCain hasn't give Republicans much to cheer about, in fact, it was probably the McCain-Fiengold legislation that did him in. Most people, regardless of party, do not believe that McCain-Fiengold had people's interest in mind when they pushed that piece of legislation. Most people believe that bill is another case of politicians screwing the little guy. Fiengolds name is mud, though I wish he would win the DNC primary.
Fortunately it won't be Hillary Clinton either, but unfortunately it will be somebody. Hopefully it's a conservative-Democrat, but it will at least be a governor.
2 years excerpts
Ah, John Kerry's salute and speech....Acceptance speech acceptable? (6-30-2004)
"You'll get to pick your own doctor" - John Kerry during his DNC convention speech.
--"Really? Oh goody goody, I get to pick my own doctor? I hope I pick a good one. The problem that I have with the healthcare system isn’t the rising cost of greedy doctors. In fact, it seems to me that ever since big government proponents like Kerry have gotten involved in the healthcare system, it seems as though the problem is getting worse. Today, government has more involvement in healthcare than ever, yet the system seems to be getting worse." --- My response

Kender over at Kender's musings is hosting the this weeks Liberal church! As South Parketeers know, it's my favorites episode. This week, Michael Moron makes a guest appearance.
For those of you that know me, does this describe me? Personally, I think it's pretty accurate
Can you believe that Louisiana has a gubernatorial candidate named "Horne"? This is just too much, I mean forgive me for going a little overboard here but... with Reaganites, Clintonites, Bushies, and Deaniacs, does that mean that his followers are going to be called Hornies? When they go to campaign fundraiser, will everybody there feel hornier?
But he's got some must have gifts that is bound to go up in value. This is just classic, better get one before it sells out....

Hornier people can buy these at Horne's campaign store! Question is, does this campaign paraphenelia make you feel hornier?

Just one tonight kiddies... from Why I'm Voting for President Bush (6-13-2004)
Though many freedoms were lost after 9-11 we must remember that this administration resisted the demand to infringe on many other freedoms. For some the solution was to pass a myriad of laws, many of which had nothing to do with terrorism. Some thought that requiring that everybody have national ID card was the solution. President Bush insisted on going after the bad guys, not punish the good guys.

Venezuela took one more step closer to war by adding another star to their flag.
Read the story.
President Hugo Chavez has pulled Venezuela steadily to the left, and now he’s even got the horse on the national flag running that way.
Venezuela’s solidly pro-Chavez National Assembly has given final approval to changes in the flag proposed by the socialist president: an eighth star and a turnabout of the horse that until now has galloped to the right.
The move clears the way for Chavez to unfurl the new national banner on Flag Day on Sunday.
No big deal right? Wrong. I've warned time and time again that Hugo Chavez is not a peaceful man. Hugo Chavez is building his military because he wants war. He's buttering up people here in the States winning critics of the Bush administration over so they would be on his side and help force the United States to stay on the sidelines while he gets down to business.
The change of the horse is no big deal, but the addition of the star is.
Chavez suggested the eighth star to represent the early 19th-century eastern province of Guayana, which was initially loyal to Spain but then joined an independent Venezuela.
South American independence hero Simon Bolivar once proposed a flag with eight stars in 1817, and it was used for several years. Chavez has called the eighth star the “Bolivarian star” – like his “Bolivarian Revolution,” which he says is leading the oil-producing country toward socialism.
Still no big deal right? Wrong, this may be a very significant thing and a huge indicator of what Hugo Chavez is planning on doing in the next few years. The pipeline that is going to "destroy the environment" as it rips and roars through rainforest from Caracas to Buenos Aires will most likely keep Chavez busy for a couple of years, but then watch out Guayana. That's a big if Guayana has that long. My suspicions are that Chavez will wait until the Presidential elections in the United States before he makes his move.
Hugo Chavez and Venezuela have been arguing for years that east Guayana is Venezuelan territory. Though it's sparcely populated and mostly jungle, Venezuela seems to hunger after that strip of land. Perhaps they insist on having all of Guyana, which would make more sense because Guayana has been attempting unsuccessfully to drill for oil in the waters that seperate Guayana from Suriname. Each time Guayana attempts to drill for oil, Suriname uses it's military to force Guayana to stop. Guayana does not have the military force to stand up to Suriname, much less Venezuela.
Like Austria and Kuwait before them, Guayana is a sleeping lamb next to a hungry wolf. Should Venezuela invade Guayana in order to drill for oil, niether Guayana nor Suriname has the ability to stop them. It would be in Americans best interest to intervene, to stop this hungry wolf before he kills to many lambs.
But with many American Liberals on his side, Huggable Hugo may turn out to be Latins Little Hitler.
Vietnam wasn’t loss due to lack of valor on behalf of soldiers, Vietnam was lost due to the lack of willingness of leaders to eradicate tyranny and we have been paying the consequences of that mistake ever since. In the sixties, peace was not won by our withdrawal in Vietnam; war was wrought on the rest of the world because of it. The cowards of men dictated Vietnam policy and many new wars were created because of it. The war did not end because we chose peace, it only began wars in other countries.

Brain Bullet "He who dares not offend cannot be honest." - Thomas Paine I really ought to bring those back....

This is one that's from the heart.
Freedom We say we love our Rights but never take the time to read the Constitution. We say we love freedom but after a tragedy rush to surrender more freedoms? Wasn’t this the case after 9-11? Even today, we demand the government to place greater restrictions on our neighbors despite not having an attack within our borders since that day.
Sounds like something I could write today. Despite not having an attack inside our borders, we still don't feel secure enough... can anybody say Arabic Port Deal? - - - - - -
And finally, my tribute to Ronald Wilson Reagan, may he rest in peace..
Ronald Reagan and Great Leadership Whether it was a radio joke or standing in front of the Berlin wall, Ronald Reagan was steadfast in his beliefs that the Soviet Union was an evil empire. Like most great leaders, Reagan had his critics, and like the other great leaders, Reagan knew what he believed. Reagan was not without his critics, his SDI proposals were ridiculed. Reagan said to be the dumbest president ever, and stories were told of elderly who ate dog food. Reagan would not waver and his critics eventually became forgotten. Reagan led this country, even the men who did not want to be led.
Many men did not want go, many did against their will, but we are forever grateful that they did. Thank you President Ronald Reagan for being leader.

Knappster said almost everything that I wanted to say concerning the Dubai Ports deal except that I would have called the opposition reactionary racism.
Let's face it, somebody said "Arab", "Security", and "Bad" in the same sentence and 70% of you assumed the absolute worse. This isn't like the majority of you, but I am so greatly disappointed that so many of you allowed you inner racial fears override your rationale. Now, when the ripple effect takes place, don't blame Bush, blame your over zealous emotional rationale.
To the 70% of you people that just did more damage to our nation than Bush has supposedly done in his five years in office, thanks, thanks a whole bunch. You really really did us a favor in this nation, however, next time please don't let your emotions dictate United States policy anymore.
2 Years of Blogging
Yes, I'm coming up on my second blogiversary. April 22 of 2004, I gave birth to this blog... that brings up sick images doesn't it? So since it's a "special occasion", I am going to do the "Best of excerpts" at times and also reposts some key posts.
Tonight I will posts some excerpts from my inaugural post called
"Delta Queen"
I didn’t realize that she thought she was the Delta Queen. Instead of building coalitions, she is trying to silence opposition.
I said that then about Kathleen Blanco, I guess she's gotten worse.
"Fashion Sheppard"
The problem is sagging. Representative Sheppard does not like sagging and wants to outlaw it. It seems that when state representative Sheppard wants to check out his teenage girls, he expects them in tight pants, not low riding. Just leave something to his imagination and hopefully he won’t try to outlaw your clothes. To quote Sheppard "I'm sick of seeing it". Hmm, if I run for office, can I outlaw Democrats because I am sick of seeing them?
Which led to one of my all time favorite posts "Sheesh, I didn't know I was being controversial"
Wow, when I wrote that piece on sagging, I didn't realize that I was being controversial. Though I don't personally approve of sagging I just don't think that it is the govmints bidness to stick its nose in our attire.
Look, if I go into a fast food restaurant, and I see the cook reach around and pull his pants up and then continues to make my food, I'm walking out. I want my meat to be brown because it was cooked, not because the guy missed his pants.
Enjoy the reading and good nightkKiddies.... Oh, new Liberal Church is due, and a very special southparketeer is going to host it.

Hunter Greene, as well as other legislatures filed bills making sex offender laws more harsh. Some want to castrate sex offenders, but I think Rep. Greene has the right idea, go after specific sex offenders more harshly, not all sex offenders. Some registered sex offenders have "crimes against nature" (whatever that is) and prostitution as their crime sheet. I'm not sure about castration for all sex offenders since you can't castrate a prostitute. Well, in most cases you can't castrate a prostitute.
