One Step Closer to War

Venezuela took one more step closer to war by adding another star to their flag.

Read the story.

President Hugo Chavez has pulled Venezuela steadily to the left, and now he’s even got the horse on the national flag running that way.

Venezuela’s solidly pro-Chavez National Assembly has given final approval to changes in the flag proposed by the socialist president: an eighth star and a turnabout of the horse that until now has galloped to the right.

The move clears the way for Chavez to unfurl the new national banner on Flag Day on Sunday.

No big deal right? Wrong. I've warned time and time again that Hugo Chavez is not a peaceful man. Hugo Chavez is building his military because he wants war. He's buttering up people here in the States winning critics of the Bush administration over so they would be on his side and help force the United States to stay on the sidelines while he gets down to business.

The change of the horse is no big deal, but the addition of the star is.

Chavez suggested the eighth star to represent the early 19th-century eastern province of Guayana, which was initially loyal to Spain but then joined an independent Venezuela.

South American independence hero Simon Bolivar once proposed a flag with eight stars in 1817, and it was used for several years. Chavez has called the eighth star the “Bolivarian star” – like his “Bolivarian Revolution,” which he says is leading the oil-producing country toward socialism.

Still no big deal right? Wrong, this may be a very significant thing and a huge indicator of what Hugo Chavez is planning on doing in the next few years. The pipeline that is going to "destroy the environment" as it rips and roars through rainforest from Caracas to Buenos Aires will most likely keep Chavez busy for a couple of years, but then watch out Guayana. That's a big if Guayana has that long. My suspicions are that Chavez will wait until the Presidential elections in the United States before he makes his move.

Hugo Chavez and Venezuela have been arguing for years that east Guayana is Venezuelan territory. Though it's sparcely populated and mostly jungle, Venezuela seems to hunger after that strip of land. Perhaps they insist on having all of Guyana, which would make more sense because Guayana has been attempting unsuccessfully to drill for oil in the waters that seperate Guayana from Suriname. Each time Guayana attempts to drill for oil, Suriname uses it's military to force Guayana to stop. Guayana does not have the military force to stand up to Suriname, much less Venezuela.

Like Austria and Kuwait before them, Guayana is a sleeping lamb next to a hungry wolf. Should Venezuela invade Guayana in order to drill for oil, niether Guayana nor Suriname has the ability to stop them. It would be in Americans best interest to intervene, to stop this hungry wolf before he kills to many lambs.

But with many American Liberals on his side, Huggable Hugo may turn out to be Latins Little Hitler.

Vietnam wasn’t loss due to lack of valor on behalf of soldiers, Vietnam was lost due to the lack of willingness of leaders to eradicate tyranny and we have been paying the consequences of that mistake ever since. In the sixties, peace was not won by our withdrawal in Vietnam; war was wrought on the rest of the world because of it. The cowards of men dictated Vietnam policy and many new wars were created because of it. The war did not end because we chose peace, it only began wars in other countries.

This is one that's from the heart.

Freedom

We say we love our Rights but never take the time to read the Constitution. We say we love freedom but after a tragedy rush to surrender more freedoms? Wasn’t this the case after 9-11? Even today, we demand the government to place greater restrictions on our neighbors despite not having an attack within our borders since that day.

Sounds like something I could write today. Despite not having an attack inside our borders, we still don't feel secure enough... can anybody say Arabic Port Deal?

And finally, my tribute to Ronald Wilson Reagan, may he rest in peace..

Ronald Reagan and Great Leadership

Whether it was a radio joke or standing in front of the Berlin wall, Ronald Reagan was steadfast in his beliefs that the Soviet Union was an evil empire. Like most great leaders, Reagan had his critics, and like the other great leaders, Reagan knew what he believed. Reagan was not without his critics, his SDI proposals were ridiculed. Reagan said to be the dumbest president ever, and stories were told of elderly who ate dog food. Reagan would not waver and his critics eventually became forgotten. Reagan led this country, even the men who did not want to be led. Many men did not want go, many did against their will, but we are forever grateful that they did. Thank you President Ronald Reagan for being leader.

Dubai for Dummies

Knappster said almost everything that I wanted to say concerning the Dubai Ports deal except that I would have called the opposition reactionary racism.

Let's face it, somebody said "Arab", "Security", and "Bad" in the same sentence and 70% of you assumed the absolute worse. This isn't like the majority of you, but I am so greatly disappointed that so many of you allowed you inner racial fears override your rationale. Now, when the ripple effect takes place, don't blame Bush, blame your over zealous emotional rationale.

To the 70% of you people that just did more damage to our nation than Bush has supposedly done in his five years in office, thanks, thanks a whole bunch. You really really did us a favor in this nation, however, next time please don't let your emotions dictate United States policy anymore.

2 Years of Blogging

Yes, I'm coming up on my second blogiversary. April 22 of 2004, I gave birth to this blog... that brings up sick images doesn't it? So since it's a "special occasion", I am going to do the "Best of excerpts" at times and also reposts some key posts.

Tonight I will posts some excerpts from my inaugural post called "Delta Queen"

I didn’t realize that she thought she was the Delta Queen. Instead of building coalitions, she is trying to silence opposition.

I said that then about Kathleen Blanco, I guess she's gotten worse.

"Fashion Sheppard"

The problem is sagging. Representative Sheppard does not like sagging and wants to outlaw it. It seems that when state representative Sheppard wants to check out his teenage girls, he expects them in tight pants, not low riding. Just leave something to his imagination and hopefully he won’t try to outlaw your clothes. To quote Sheppard "I'm sick of seeing it". Hmm, if I run for office, can I outlaw Democrats because I am sick of seeing them?

Which led to one of my all time favorite posts "Sheesh, I didn't know I was being controversial"

Wow, when I wrote that piece on sagging, I didn't realize that I was being controversial. Though I don't personally approve of sagging I just don't think that it is the govmints bidness to stick its nose in our attire.

Look, if I go into a fast food restaurant, and I see the cook reach around and pull his pants up and then continues to make my food, I'm walking out. I want my meat to be brown because it was cooked, not because the guy missed his pants.

Enjoy the reading and good nightkKiddies.... Oh, new Liberal Church is due, and a very special southparketeer is going to host it.

Off With Their Heads!

Hunter Greene, as well as other legislatures filed bills making sex offender laws more harsh. Some want to castrate sex offenders, but I think Rep. Greene has the right idea, go after specific sex offenders more harshly, not all sex offenders. Some registered sex offenders have "crimes against nature" (whatever that is) and prostitution as their crime sheet. I'm not sure about castration for all sex offenders since you can't castrate a prostitute. Well, in most cases you can't castrate a prostitute.

Monday Night Bible Study

Folks, our most sacred right is under attack. Society will cease to exist as we know it. Women will commit suicide, mountains will collapse, the sea will dry up, and the sun will extiguish! The right to sacrifice the unborn to the Gods has been undone!

It was written into our bible that womyn have a right to choose abortion. Open your bibles to Amendment XXVIII

Amendment XXVIII (Abortion) - Invisible text

Congress shall make no law prohibiting womyn from having an abortion on demand without apology.

The United States Congress, controlled by those evil Republicans, has violated our biblical principles when they forced South Dakota to pass and sign into law prohibiting the religious art of sacrificing the unborn.

Let's take a look at how Republicans violated our religious principles, please look at Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Let's examine the first part of that verse. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,". The evil Republicans are forcing their immoral satanistic values onto us. They are denying us a very important religious practice away from us, the right to sacrifice our unborn.

Like all things liberal, this only applies to our religious values. "Freedom of Religion" is reserved only for liberals. If we deem the sacrificing of the unborn a religious value, then it is. If we deem partial-pedicide a religious value, then it is.

What that verse also says is that Republicans can not force their religious values down our throat. They can't offend us. We have the Right to practice religion as we see fit as long as it doesn't offend anybody.

Unfortunately Christianity offends we liberals, therefore it should not be displayed in public at all. Christians can not offend anybody, but liberals are obligated to offend people. Since Christianity offends liberals, you get super bonus points whenever you offend a Christian.

Some examples that should offend you are:

1. Somebody says 'Merry Christmas' to you
2. Somebody prays in public before eating
3. You sneeze and somebody says 'God Bless You'

All three examples are highly offensive and are examples of people shoving their religious views down your throat.

Extreme Right Wing Christians will also try to shove their values down your throat by:

1. Denying you the right to sacrifice your unborn
2. Protesting 'classic art' pieces such as a crucifix in a urinal.
3. Complaining about our friends in Hollywood using movies to 'preach'

I'm sick and tired of Republicans thinking that freedom of religion means they can offend me. Why, the other day, a Christian told me to 'Go to God' in spanish. I was highly offended and I told them to "choke on your cross, you religious nutjob!' What can I say, I'm just doing my part to tick off the religious right!

But the battle is being waged in the streets. We have the majority of people on our side concerning abortion, but we must do more. We don't want the religious zealots promoting that a baby has a heartbeat after two weeks. We must practice what we preach. A fetus, as you know, is just a cluster of cells. Nothing more, sure it has a heartbeat, but it's still just a cluster of cells.

We must make more people realize that it's a cluster of cells so we have a short list to promote the sacrifice of the unborn.

When a woman is pregnant say:
"Excuse me miss, but when is your fetus going to turn into a baby?"

When a woman has had a miscarriage try saying:
"Don't feel bad, it was just a fetus"

If a woman says she just wish the baby was out you can tell her:
"It's still just a bunch of cells, you can still abort your fetus."

If a woman is going to commit suicide you can always say:
"Don't you wish you were aborted while you were still a fetus?"

Or if you are of the male persuasion say:
"Who am I to tell you what to do with your body? Go ahead, do what makes you feel good."

And when a woman is prostituting or doing drugs you can say:
"I'm proud to support your free choice, but remember to use condoms because that cluster of cells can become a baby."

Finally, when you drive by the sacrificial alters, or womyn clinics, more commonly called 'abortion clinics' by Right Wing Christian Extremist, be sure to yell out to the religious nutjobs standing out front "I support Amendment 28!"

This is unreal

I can't believe what I am seeing in our country. We are literally losing our minds here. Not me but my nation. It's like watching Star Wars Episode I all over again. The President is getting a vote of no confidence? People think a party that has done nothing in light of this nations security can be trusted more? People are more concerned about Port Security than Border Security? The United States is about to have the second largest civilian reserves in the America's? This goes unnoticed while Republicans turn their back on their President over an issue they think is going to cost them an election, even though their opposition is in equal disarray?

Come on people, where are your heads at? Since when have Democrats been concerned about national security? Why have they given anybody a reason to believe that they would be better at National Security than the Republicans?

Port Security? Are you kidding me? It's much easier for Al Qaida to come up through Mexico than it is for them to board a ship and attack us that way. And since when did we sell the United States Coast Guard to Ports World? Last time I checked, the United States Coast Guard is our line of defense concerning ports.

And while people are panicking over port security or how it's going to effect the elections, Hugo Chavez, the hostile dictator of Venezuela, is preparing for war against the United States.

Venezuela begins training a vast army of civilian reserves today to fight off the attack its Left-wing president, Hugo Chavez, says the United States is plotting against it.

The oil-rich state aims to teach up to two million volunteers, from the unemployed to office workers, shop assistants and housewives, basic military skills such as marching in step or shooting to kill.

If it reaches that size, the force will be the largest civilian reserve army in the Americas, double the size of Washington's reserves. Its creation will further inflame relations between Venezuela and the US, already characterised by insults and tit-for-tat expulsions of diplomats.

Here we are as a nation at war, the Democrats do nothing but complain, criticize other people's patriotism, and then demand that people don't question their patriotism. They've undermined everything we have tried to do in order to win the war on terrorism and one is left with no choice but to question their patriotism.

The Republicans are cowaring into their corners, scared to stand up because they refused to stand up for the President when he is right because they are too busy trying to save their own necks. There is a great enemy arising, but instead of paying attention to that, we worry about port security?

Hello, is anybody listening? Our port security is fine. We haven't had an attack inside our borders since 9-11. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! All the while everybody is screaming like little girls that our ports are dangerous, yet the whole time our borders are porous, and despite that, there has been no attack. Well somebody please explain why we need more security? We have victory in our hands and now we want to rewrite the recipe. We are going to dismantle ourselves until we force our own defeat.

Hugo Chavez is not a peace activist, this is not about "defending his country" against the United States, it's about control. Brazil, Cuba, and Venezuela are united and soon other countries will be part of the dictatorship. War Latin America is coming unless we wake up.

It's a war that Hugo Chavez wanted since 1998, before Bush was ever elected into office. He's going to be a headache for the next President, whether Republican or Democrat. Hugo Chavez is our enemy, wake up people.

Bush isn't the war monger, people like Hugo Chavez are. Someday, people are going to wonder why somebody didn't assassinate Hugo Chavez, but by then Pat Robertson will be long gone.

It's agonizing to watch my nation lead itself down the wrong path.

Sermon VII

Sermon VII - Blogging for St. Jude's is up and this time it travels to New Hampshire, where'And Rightly So' is hosting it. There has been a change in what we are doing. GM is doing fine and we are now using our resources to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research. Please help spread the word.

Internet Debates

You know, there's some things in life I just don't get. One of those things are internet debates. It's something that I constantly find myself in, I simply enjoy it. I like the challenges, in fact, the more people oppose me, the more I savor the moment. I guess I see it as an opportunity to be the only one that's right.

I use different styles at different times. Sometimes I am sarcastic, sometimes aggressive, and sometimes I agree to the point that they can no longer agree with me. Sometimes I lead them into my point. I just have different styles and I don't just turn them on and off like a light switch, I just debate as it goes.

I never spell check in a debate, I just see it, respond, and post. Sometimes I respond before I finish reading the post. Actually, I do that a lot, but I still read the entire post. I don't think about my responses too long, it takes the challenge out of it. I like the real time of it. I jus love the challenge.

But, there are somethings that I don't understand, such as cussing. Why cuss? If you are so intelligent, why undermine your point by cussing? The second is the personal insults. It's one thing to insult an ideology, the way somebody thinks, but to insult their looks? I don't understand why people think that calling somebody they never met ugly. Or wishing Cancer, Aids, or West Nile Virus on them.

And the racial insults, I don't get that either. I mean, I get them, I just don't understand why people think they need to insult a person for their race. I always assume that when somebody is doing any of the above, that I am winning and it doesn't bother me. I have them on the ropes, so to speak.

The funniest two things happened to me in internet debates. Yeah, I guess I'm a geek. First, while debating liberals, I want to win. Not only do I want to win, I want them to feel stupid for disagreeing with me. Okay, that's arrogant, sure but it's my goal.

Some how I made a liberal so mad that he called me, hold onto your seats, a "jerk", what's worse, he wasn't taking it back. Whoa, that floored me. I've been called racist, Nazi, greedy, womyn hater, idiot, and a whole lotta udder words, but never have I been called a jerk.

At first I thought maybe I was losing my touch. Then I thought, no, he must be. He's a liberal, liberals don't call Republicans "jerks". I figured he was trying to think for himself and came with that one all by himself. I actually can appreciate that, but I would have preferred if he would have called me a racist neo-Nazi Republican that enjoys pushing elderly women down a staircase and taking her food stamps away from her. That's something nobody has ever told me, and yet, it's still oh so typical Democrat.

The other one was really interesting, I was being super nice. It wasn't a liberal, it was a conservative. We disagreed so I made it a point to be nice, yet somehow I must have said something to make the guy mad. Next thing you know I'm a profanity laced moron.

So let this be a lessoned learned. Be mean, they call you a jerk. Be nice and you're a profanity laced moron.

What Blanco Didn't Know and When She Didn't Know It.

In light of how the MSM brought to our attention that the Bush administration clearly knew that the levee could have been breached because the video said that the levee could be topped, even though breached and topped are not the same thing, but somehow the press doesn't understand that, then obviously we can expect the MSM to make sure that every United States citizen understands that Kathleen Blanco told the Bush administration the day that the levee was breached three hours after the levee was breached, that the levee was not breached but instead was topped.

Now that's a Bill Clinton type of long winded sentence.

Read the story

WASHINGTON - In the hectic, confused hours after Hurricane Katrina lashed the Gulf Coast, Louisiana's governor hesitantly but mistakenly assured the Bush administration that New Orleans' protective levees were intact, according to new video obtained by The Associated Press showing briefings that day with federal officials.

"We keep getting reports in some places that maybe water is coming over the levees," Gov. Kathleen Blanco said shortly after noon on Aug. 29, according to the video. "We heard a report unconfirmed, I think, we have not breached the levee. I think we have not breached the levee at this time."

In fact, the National Weather Service received a report of a levee breach and issued a flash-flood warning as early as 9:12 a.m. that day, according to the White House's formal recounting of events the day Katrina struck.

Oops. Ben Franklin is quoted as saying "A lie gets half way around the world before the truth gets a chance to put its pants on." Hitler was quoted as saying "The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it."

Look around, they both are right.

Compassionate Liberals

Rosie O'Donnel is at it again, this time she's "concerned" because there is only one basketball court in 'Blanco village- Baker'. They actually call it "Renaissance Village". Where does govmint come up with these names? It's like a universal rule, whenever a neighborhood sounds nice, it's probably a good idea to stay oughta there.

So Rosie O'Donut is upset that "Renaissance Village" only has the one basketball court. Sheesh, you'd think that those people in the Blanco Village would be concerned about getting back on their feet, getting a job, moving out on their own, rebuilding their life. Rosie O'donut thinks differently than you or I. She figures 'well, give them a basketball and they'd be happy.'

Nagin rides a 'chocolate' horse with white frosting named 'vanilla', wasn't that compassionate of him?

One thing that I notice about liberals over and over again, is their definition of compassion. Liberals believe they are the most compassionate people on earth, and by judging their own compassion, make ill-advised assumptions of their fellow man. They believe the rest of the world is evil, and if only the rest of us were nicer, like they are, the world would be a better place.

What liberals don't get is that the majority of people are inherently good, that people wish to help their fellow man, people are naturally compassionate. However, compassion does not mean stupidity.

Compassion means disciplining your child, not blaming society.

Compassion means helping people earn their own way, not giving them a bigger welfare check.

Compassion means helping people in need, not pawning your responsibility to help your fellow man off onto the government.

Compassion means pushing children to do better, to learn more, not feeling sorry for children that fail in school.

Compassion means punishing criminals, not protesting the death penalty

Compassion means helping others, not demanding others help you.

Compassion means giving your own time money, not demanding that other (rich) people give.

Compassion means helping those that help theirselves, not helping people achieving nothing to achieve even less.

Compassion means standing for what's right, not part of the time, all the time

Compassion is helping people achieve their best, not encouraging them to destroy their lives.

Compassion isn't that hard to figure out. Compassion is firing one of your employees because they are so inept, they become a burden to the team you lead. Why should your best employees work harder because one doesn't wish to work at all, while somebody who wants to work is without a job? Compassion, when used properly, makes the world a better place.

Why is this so hard for liberals to figure out?

CBS Poll -Bush at All Time Low

CBS is reporting their latest poll numbers, and Bush sits at 32% approval.

See: Bush Ratings At All-Time Low

(CBS) The latest CBS News poll finds President Bush's approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 34 percent, while pessimism about the Iraq war has risen to a new high.

Americans are also overwhelmingly opposed to the Bush-backed deal giving a Dubai-owned company operational control over six major U.S. ports. Seven in 10 Americans, including 58 percent of Republicans, say they're opposed to the agreemen

This, believe it or not is good news. Both for Dubai Ports and Republicans in general. This poll gives the Democrats a false sense of security. The only thing that has permanantly hurt Bush is the handling of Hurricane Katrina, and the people that it affected the most, primarily blame their governor. Kathleen may have put a dent in Bush's armor, but at what expense?

She expects the nation to blame Bush and yet feel sorry for her for being overwhelmed? How can she be the only person to be 'overwhelmed' and still be mad at everybody else for not doing their job? She didn't do hers. People in Louisiana and Mississippi understand for the most part that the government could do only so much. People outside the gulf coast don't understand, but they also haven't seen the devastation. Pictures just don't do it justice.

For those that it didn't affect, Katrina was a far away land that you might have sent money too. You can think whatever you want about how the politicians acted down here, but seriously ask yourself, will it affect your vote in the upcoming election? If you say yes, you're lying. If you blame Blanco or Nagin, and you aren't in the gulf coast, you are Republican. If you blame Bush, and not down here, you are a Democrat.

You might think lower of Bush, but it's not changing your vote. Giving Democrats a false sense of security.

And the Dubai ports deal? This is good news for the Dubai Ports to keep this in the news. If the issue gets dropped, Republicans run the risk that people will shift their trust in security to the Democrats. Today's results don't matter, but the long term effect that this issue has does. People aren't deciding elections today, their deciding it 8 months from now. Everybody might be upset at it now, but nobody can explain why it's a security risk.

I think Democrats will keep the Dubai Ports deal an issue for the next week and that can only mean great news for Dubai Ports and the Republicans because it keeps it in the news. This gives people the opportunity to learn more about it and the more they learn, the better it is for Bush.

In the end, the Dubai Ports deal will hurt the Democrats.

To those of you that want to tell me how wrong I am, please, before you leave a comment, explain exactly why the ports deal is bad for America....
