The former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by eleven U.S. government officials.

It may seem strange that out of the blue, I began to post a lot about the so-called Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen "Blab and No Ethics" Blanco. Please allow me to explain because in a moment, I'm about to drop some unbelievable information. Immediately after Katrina I was astonished, blown away by the liberal reaction to Hurricane Katrina. I could not believe that while reports were on the media about New Orleans flooding, women being raped, people being shot, looting, lack of food, and more. Through it all, the only thing Liberals could think to do was blame Bush? Despite that, I had decided that I was going stand with our leaders, at least until the end of the year.

From August 29th on, it has been especially difficult to support Blanco with gaffes and missteps over the last four months. It was next to impossible to blog about anything other than Katrina and impossible to open my mouth concerning the aftermath without being critical. I wanted to give them my support and the best way for me to do that was to keep my mouth shut, hence the lack of posts since the Hurricanes.

But it's a new year and I have kept my word to be as supportive as possible till the end of the year. I haven't even began to start on Kathleen Blanco's performance as Governor over the last three months and already she's dominating 75% of my YTD blog posts.

That's because she consistently remains in negative news, even on the national level. NOT HURRICANE RELATED STORIES but the ABRAMOFF STORY. Let's go back to Kathleen's testimony in front of congress on October 18, 2005 "First, during my administration, the financial operations of the state of Louisiana have been highly rated for governmental accountability. But I want to emphasize that the financial affairs of Louisiana will be transparent and wide open. I believe that we will stand well to the expected scrutiny by the public, the Congress and the media."

And yet the Governor retained a potential witness (Stephanie Leger) in the Abramoff scandal, despite the absolute necessity that our state be more than ethical? According to Sourcewatch.org, Stephanie Leger Short is Lousiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco's Director of State/Federal Relations. Though I provided a link, there are some key things that I want to point out.

In March 2002, "Breaux, whose legislative aide, Stephanie Leger Short, had just gone to work for Abramoff as a Coushatta lobbyist, sent [Secretary of the Interior Gale] Norton a stack of anti-Jena constituent mail. Breaux received $14,250 from the lobbyists and their tribal clients," Susan Schmidt reported in the March 13, 2005, Washington Post.

Since March 13, 2005? Kathleen Blanco doesn't see the problem with this? The problem was glaring enough for Sourcewatch.org to pick up this post from Politicsla.com As cited by Sourcewatch.org

On March 25, 2005, a poster on the Politics LA Forum wrote:

"In an AP story today, the Louisiana Democratic Party talked about glass houses. The sound that you are hearing now is the Democrats and their Governor's glass house breaking. What they neglected to tell the AP reporter was the fact that the real Abramoff tie to Louisiana is Governor Blanco's top Washington, D.C. staffer, Stephanie Leger.

It was obvious enough for the Louisiana GOP chairman, Roger Villere to make that statement. Mr. Villere pointed out that it couldn't possibly be good if Stephanie Leger is under investigation.

While some might dismiss her ties to Mr. Abramoff as past history, it is clear that the cloud over his investigation is continuing to follow Ms. Leger. Despite telling the Baton Rouge Advocate on March 6th that she was never brought into Mr. Abramoff's inner circle, the Washington Post reported differently a week later. The Washington Post cited emails between them showing a clear and direct link to each other on behalf of these clients.

Why did Governor Blanco hire someone who is involved in so many investigations? How can this be good for Louisiana?

To remove all doubt in the State's credibility, I call upon Governor Blanco to place Stephanie Leger on administrative leave until all federal investigations and Senate investigations are complete.

That statement was on March 23, 2005. Despite that Kathleen Blanco chose to retain Stephanie Leger, even through the aftermath, while our state was being called corrupt by national figures, and through the escalation of the Abramoff story.

"Four former Greenberg Traurig lobbyists besides disgraced former colleague Jack Abramoff took improper side payments in violation of company policy and have been referred to the Justice Department, a top law firm executive has disclosed," Julie Kay reportedNovember 17, 2005, for Law.com. "The four other lobbyists now being questioned" are Kevin A. Ring, Jon W. van Horne, Michael D. Smith and Stephanie Leger."

To quote Kathleen's in front of congress once again....

"I believe that we will stand well to the expected scrutiny by the public, the Congress and the media." -- Kathleen Blanco

Despite her promise, and despite the ineptness and inability of her administration to get their act together and get the state back in order, she keeps Leger in a major position on her staff even though she's a part of a federal investigation. Isn't an investigation just an added distraction?

The Indian Affairs Committee's next hearing on Abramoff, slated for Oct. 26, is expected to focus on the lobbyist's dealings with the Coushatta tribe of Louisiana. A principal lobbyist working on the account with Abramoff was Stephanie Leger Short, a Democrat married to Toby Short, a legislative assistant in Dorgan's personal office. *Source

My gut instinct is that the Abramoff story will slowly fade away as the press realizes that this isn't just a Republican scandal, but rather a DeeCee scandal. The press and the politicians are a strange couple, they love to hate each other but they won't burn any major bridges.

As for Kathleen, is it any wonder why her administration screwed up so bad? I'm sure this will somehow be Bush's fault because she's a woman. There is one more story that I just would love to comment on but I can't take it anymore...

Blanco complains again. This time she's complaining about how much the federal government sent her. I guess the federal government doesn't pay for granite countertops from Sweden?.

I don't know what Kathleen is planning on renovationg next, but I think it has something to do with the kitchen. Her administration asked "FEMA do everything possible everywhere" and made a point to "ask for the kitchen sink,".

Trouble in the Blogosphere

It seems like one of our Northern blogizens is having a little trouble with some comments he made on his blog Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

According to StarTribune.com

Lawyers who filed the suit say that Web logs and other new media should be held to the same standards of accountability as traditional media and journalism. Brodbkorb, a former operative for the Minnesota Republican Party, pledges to protect his source and to keep his website going.

The suit alleges that Brodkorb, citing an unnamed source, defamed the St. Paul-based public relations firm New School Communications when he posted a claim that New School had become publicly critical of the congressional campaign of Coleen Rowley only after Rowley rejected a contract with the firm.

Despite being told that New School does not perform political campaign work, Brodkorb, the suit says, continues to make the claim, even though his source "may, in fact, be a fabrication."

Held to the same accountability as MSM? You mean like Jason Blair, the New York Times, Dan Rather, 60 Minutes? How about the media lying to us by declaring Al Gore the 'projected winner' before the polls closed? I can see why this is so important. Let's not forget how a person can "anonymously" accuse somebody of sexual harrassment. No chance for slander to happen there? Ah, but those are exceptions to the rule, right?

But, as in the case of this blogger, if given the opportunity to refute what the blogger in the commentary section of the said on the same site that the innacuracies were made, it should be held to the same standards as the MSM.

What makes the blogger different than the MSM is that we don't have the luxury of already having the people's trust. We have to earn it, whereas, the major media already has it and is losing the people's trust. A blogger has to work their way into the hearts of his/her readers and gains their respect by being honest.

Secondly, anybody can have a website. It's affordable, even free, the only thing necessary is access to the internet. Starting a newspaper is not as accessible and a television station is out of the average Joe's reach. Should somebody wish to refute a website, one could always create their own website. By utilizing their free speech, refute accusations made against them.

Finally, the average blogger does not have the means to fight a lawsuit filed by a company. Has the comments of this blogger hurt the company by costing the company sales? Can the company prove that?

As usual, I'm more concerned about the slippery slope than I am about a potential lie. I do not condone slander, lies, untruthfulness, but these are also often truths or lies in the eye of the beholder. Should Haliburton be allowed to sue all the people on the internet that suggest corruption between them and the Bush administration? Should Ozzy sue people for saying on the internet that he bit the head off a bat? There are untruths being said everyday. Those that choose to knowingly spread mistruths face inescapable consequences, even if a lawsuit never happens. When a person lies, his credibility goes down.

Instead of a lawsuit, New School might serve their own purposes better by refuting the accusations against them on their own existing website. A lawsuit has only brought more light on the accusations against them and elevated Minnesota Democrats Exposed to a higher and more popular status. Further more, New School has brought more negative exposure on theirselves with this lawsuit, an example? BLOIS (Olsen)

Congratulations New School, your public relations concerning this matter is an example of how to bring shame and controversy on your own company with this lawsuit. Why on earth should any company or person utilize your service when you successfully brought more attention to accusations made against you, and brought undesirable attention to your company? Imagine that, a Public Relations company being involved in a negative story? One has to wonder, who hurt New School more, MDE or New School?

Washington has been hot and Tampa Bay has struggled lately. What concerns me the most is the how the Skins played certain teams. Defeated Arizona 17-13 and despite having a playoff spot on the line, nearly lost to an beat up Eagles team that has been blown away in more than one game this year. Tampa had a playoff spot already sealed up and still took care of business. I have to believe that the Skins are not a team that can seal the deal in a big game. Tampa can. "Watch my results" - Kathleen Blanco, on being named one of the worst Governors.

Let's see, she takes a trip to Cuba to seal a 15 million dollar deal with perhaps Latin America's least trustworthy dictator. She even dropped everything to go have a nice lobster dinner with El Presidente Castro. She went to Cuba despite President Bush's disapproval. Yet, when President Bush comes to town on two separate occassions, Kathleen Blanco was too busy to meet with the President of her own country. Who's more important to Louisiana? Castro or Bush? You make the call.

Blanco spokesman Roderick Hawkins admitted that “some people have called it a snub, but the governor had a busy scheduled already planned for that day.”

Hawkins said a meeting with officials from Citgo and planning for a meeting with New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson kept Blanco from meeting with Bush.

Barham said regardless of the excuse, it’s not good enough. “Especially with all the needs we have - for projects like coastal restoration - for her not to meet with the president is inexcusable.”

This lady is too busy too meet with the President when he comes to town, yet can find time to take a nap during a hurricane? Let me repeat that, on two occassions, including Bush's commencement address to Louisiana State University, the Governor did NOT meet with President Bush because she was too busy. Even stating that she was busy "planning for a meeting with Saints owner Tom Benson". How fortunate for us in Louisiana that Kathleen Blanco isn't too busy to take a nap while a hurricane named Katrina approached us. Lucky us.

Instead of meeting with the President when he came to Louisiana, she sends him a letter demanding that he help with coastal erosion. When Bush came down for hurricane Katrina, was there any wonder why there was a rift between Blanco and Bush? How would you act towards somebody that treated you in the same manner that Kathleen treated the President of the United States?

Is the Governor responsible? I don't think so. Financially responsible? Let's see, in the past year, we've had Insurance Commissioner Robert Wooley and his decked out Eddie Bauer edition Ford Expedition . That was a nice use of finances. Red Schtick Magazine had a commentary on that. Okay so he's the Insurance Commissionar. Then came a story about renovations to the Governor's Mansion. The cost of the renovation also cost the taxpayers $5,000 a month in rent as well as the renovations needed to the apartment that she rented out. I've heard of a "renaissance man", would that make Kathleen Blanco a "renovation woman"?

Don't forget Mitch Landrieu and his "renovations" to his home, undoubtedly inspired by the Governor. His renovations to the Lt. Governor's home cost the state another $400,000 So far, that's 1.2 million dollars in renovations. Yes, people were upset about it then and that was before Katrina and Rita hit.

Then she goes in front of congress and tells them that "First, during my administration, the financial operations of the state of Louisiana have been highly rated for governmental accountability." Yeah, they are highly rated. I haven't even talked about the lake they wanted to build for "economic development" and Bob Odom's "Sugar Mill". Who's doing the rating? Louisiana State Officials?

During Katrina, she came off as whiny and indecisive. Today, she comes off as whiny and indecisive. Her handlers wanted to make her look like John Wayne and she came out looking like Barney Fife. The only real decision she made during the last four months is to redecorate her offices at the state capital running the taxpayers over half a million dollars. Exactly what office does she think she holds anyway? Governor or Interior Decorator?

Then she has the audacity to tell congress on December 14 that "we have all tightened our belts and reshuffled our priorities to help our state recover". Does that mean she was actually going to renovate something else, but had to settle on her offices due to the hurricane? Was she actually going to spend more money? Exactly how is this reshuffling her priorities?

When she told congress on December 14 "We are taking bold steps to help ourselves," Did she mean her personal comfort zone? I wonder if they installed a mattress so she could take her naps.

Worst Governor in the United States? Watch her results? I've seen enough of her results. Not only is she the worst Governor in the United States, but also in the history of the United States.

Egad, we are only half way through her first term.

I'd give her an 'F minus' but that's too kind. Perhaps there ought to be a new grade, a 'K' for Kathleen.

As if things weren't tough enough in Louisiana with a history of corruption, an education system that ranks at the bottom in the nation, and politicians that claim to be for the poor but instead fill their own pockets, we now have what is perhaps American history's worst governor. It's been four months since hurricane Katrina and Kathleen "Blab and No Direction" Blanco still doesn't have a clue which direction we ought to go since the recovery effort began.

Is there any reason that any of us should still be discussing Hurricane Katrina in the manner that we continue to do? There is a reasonable discussion on what we should be doing. How to woo people back home, maybe. Tax incentives for businesses affected by Katrina? Maybe. Discussion on the levee system? Definitely.

Yet, what continues to fill our headlines are some of the most ridiculous stories that should have been solved and our Governor can't even figure out how to solve them.

It's bad enough that our Governor can move black people like herds of cattle on election day but expects other people to come in and save the day while so many people are stranded on an island. We've heard the story about FEMA's promise to send buses, but the question still remains, why did she sit on her hands and wait for FEMA during an emergency situation? The entire time that she was waiting on FEMA's buses, she could have been organizing and moving buses on her own. Maybe she smoked too much pot in her youth and was waiting for some magic buses to just appear? Certain FEMA had to take some time to get buses down here, why couldn't she start using some local buses? Baton Rouge wasn't evacuated, there were buses drivers in Baton Rouge.

We can go into the details of what she did do, what she didn't do, and blab about that for another four months but what's the point? In fact, her mistakes are forgivable and could have been put well behind her and we would be moving forward. But Governor "Blab and No Hope" is still stuck on her excuses and the longer she takes, the less likely New Orleans will be rebuilt.

Let's not forget the emails that the "Blab and No John Wayne" administration sent to each other concerning appearance. As the Seattle Times Editorial points out:

For the record, people were dying as these e-mails were being sent. In that context, they are nothing less than vulgar.

She goes in front of Congress asking for money, complaining how the state is hurting financially because of the Hurricances, yet she can find over half a million dollars for renovations? Even while she's telling the state about "deep budget cuts" and "20% lay-offs"? What makes this worse is that our state went to Washington and asked for an unGodly amount of cash on top of what was already sent to us.

That in itself was embarrassing enough to many of us in the state, but when harder hit Mississippi asks for a mere portion of the amount our state asked for, renovations to the state house isn't in order. If the "Blab and No Brains" administration had any intelligence whatsoever, they would have exercised a clause to back out of the contract. Exactly who benefits from these renovations? Hurricane Katrina victims? The poor? The sick? The teachers? Nope, her staff does. Typical Democrat, full of talk of compassion but all about self serving interests.

In this interview with KATC, the Governor blames gender bias for her ineptness and not her whining and crying that continues to haunt her in the aftermath of Katrina. KATC shows footage of "Blab and No More Crying" pounding her fist on the table top, but fails to show footage of her telling congress that she "was overwhelmed, but that wasn't anything to be embarrassed about". Well "Blab and No Shame", it's nothing to be proud of either.

People died under this lady's watch, due in large part to her failure and she tells congress that being overwhelmed is nothing to be ashamed of? Are you kidding me? Did she expect to receive a trophy for being overwhelmed? Maybe a visit to the Wizard of Oz in hopes he'll give her courage?

That same video also has "Blab And No Testosterone" crying about gender bias. Yeah, That mean male Hurricane Katrina picked on Louisiana because he knew we had a female Governor. This has got to be a joke, the reason she's being picked on isn't because of her failures, her excuses, her inaction, not even her indecision. The reason she can't get things done is because she's not a man. If that is true, then why should any of us ever vote for a woman again? For any office? After all, their gender is only going to hinder them, right? No, I don't believe that, then again, I'm not blaming her incompetence on her gender either.

To make matters worse, we all "know" how bad it is in Iraq, yet Bush can manage to get elections up and running? "Blab and No Vote" can't even get the elections in New Orleans going on time. What is she afraid of, why can't this lady make one simple decision? If this keeps up, I'm going to need a name change.

Actually, "Blab and No Re-election" has made one decision, to run for Governor again. As a Republican, I'm excited to see her make that decision. It's a beautiful thing to line up candidates against her. As a citizen of this state, it scares me to death, that means we'll see two more hurricane seasons with this governor, unless she's impeached. As a citizen in the State of Louisiana, please Governor "Blab and No Rescue".... resign.

As for the rest of you, call her what you want, just please.... don't call her our Governor anymore.

That got me thinking, we could ask them to do a special blend of coffee in honor of our precious Governor. It would have to be decaf since our Governor likes to "take naps."

Another e-mail indicates that Blanco was taking a nap the day before the hurricane hit when U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff was trying to reach her.

"I think she's asleep now," wrote Roderick Hawkins, Blanco's deputy press secretary.

Bottcher said on Thursday that Blanco worked throughout the day, which began at 4 a.m. She said that Hawkins made a wrong assumption because she couldn't be located by Louisiana State Police.

"She didn't nap," Bottcher said. "It's not uncommon for State Police to not be able to find her."

Knowing that, one must conclude that part of the blend should have a coffee bean that is rare. A bean that's say... hard to find.

It should also have beans from a mountainous region in it, some place where deer can be found, in honor of that look in her eyes.

Like most of her staff, the beans should be dried up and useless and all the blame should fall on the (coffee) bushes. A committee should be formed to decide who is going to be on the committee to decide the recipe, which should be inconsistent. The recipe should take the beans and throw them together, with no real plan.

The coffee should be watered down and also should leave a bad taste in your mouth, much like the Governor has done with Louisianans. It should also have a strong hint of wine. I know wine doesn't go with coffee, but have you ever seen our Governor talk? Finally, the coffee should be very expensive in honor of how our Governor thinks, why spend a little and get your money's worth, when you can waste the money on something you really don't need?

And the name of the Coffee? Kathleen Blanco's "Blame it on the (Coffee) Bushes" Blend . I know I would never buy it, but so many Democrats will. Other commentint on 'Alito's Bold Justice Coffee'.

Elephants in Academia

This past year has been very rough, at least for me personally. I hope for the rest of you, it was a good year.

For me it actually started last year, my focus switched from politics to business. The company I worked for at the time was going through a lot of changes and well, that meant more time at work. Despite the increase in work, I decided to get more involved in the local political scene by working with a group of friends and formed the Pachyderms of Greater Baton Rouge.

Before I knew it, I was caught up in another local campaign that really became a nasty campaign between two Republicans. Yeah, I shouldn't have gotten involved in it, and really didn't intend to either. Still, I have a duty to vote, and with that duty comes the responsibility to be informed on what you are voting for. I voted, my guy won, enough said. Still that was time consuming.

Shortly after that campaign, I began to make plans for my departure from my job. Studying for the state exam, learning new products, adjusting to a new job, and moving to strictly commissions was a very stressful time.

When I had made all the adjustments, I focused more on blogging. That was until Katrina hit. I was very fortunate through hurricanes Katrina and Rita, but as we are all aware so many were not. Hurricane Katrina is the moment where I lost complete respect for Democrats. During the first week, while so many people were starving, being flooded out of their homes, news reports of rapes and murders, and all Democrats could think about was how to blame Bush?

It's so pathetic, I make fun of Democrats by trying to guess what they are going to blame on Bush. For example, we had an earthquake here in Louisiana, registered 3.0 but it probably didn't make the national news. Still, it's fun to figure out the Democrat argument as to why this hurricane is Bush's fault. Does anybody take Democrats serious anymore? Okay, somebody besides Saddam.

Between Katrina and Rita, our lives have been altered and our cities overcrowded. We are adjusting and life is getting back to normal but before we knew it, Christmas was here.

This past year was tough on my abilities to blog and thought about shutting this blog down. I don't want to do that and am looking at other options to keep things moving. I'm beginning to consider turning this into a community blog for other conservatives and if you are interested, please submit some of your writings and if I like it enough, I'll add you ass a blogger.

I'm so proud that our liberals cohorts finaly decided to join on board with what's going on in Iraq. All this time, I thought the liberal position was that the war in Iraq was so bad that we needed to pull our troops out, but after listening to John Kerry, I realized that Liberals want us to pull out of Iraq because things are going so well. Like John Kerry said, "Democrats want a timetable for success". So basically Democrats now believe that what we accomplished in Iraq is going so well that we ought to start looking at when we can pull out.

I want to personally thank all you Democrats that appeared to be against the war but now that Victory is assured, you now want to be a part of it. So now, I believe we on the right can offer up a concilliatory program, one you liberals would be proud of.

Remember the 'Pass the Fast' that the Reverend Jesse Jackson invented? Wasn't it to help the poor? For those of you that don't remember, Jesse Jackson started a program called 'Pass the Fast' in which one would fast or not eat until he got hungry. When he got hungry he'd call a friend up and "pass" the fast. Jesse can then eat, while his friend didn't. Once his friend got hungry, he would pass the fast to somebody else. All of this was done to help the poor.

So I figured since 'Global Warming' is one of your big pet peeves, I figured we can do something similiar. Now, I've thought of it, but I drive too much to actually be a part of it, but since I came up with the idea, I am more compassionate than the rest of you. Now, one of you liberals need to actually initiate the idea to be more compassionate and aware of global warming than the rest of us.

The idea works much like 'Pass the Fast' but is enviromentally concious. You don't drive until you have too. When you need to drive somewhere, you call a friend then they can't drive until they need to go somewhere, then they call somebody and so on and so on. Yep, you guess right, we'll call the program "Pass the Gas"

You know, if Democrats were so brave then why didn't they stand against the war in Iraq and in Afghanistan from the beginning? No, the cowardly kept the mouths shut until it became clearer and clearer that we were easily winning. The more it looks like victory, the more the Democrats crow defeat. They don't even have the balls to stand firmly on anything, except abortion and their right to hate Republicans.

You know the more I watch the Democrats, the more they remind me of Smeagol. They tell people what they want to hear, and have total disregard for what they just said. You can't trust anything they say, they just want power, it Smeagols case, the Ring was powerful. You don't know what they are going to tell you, but more than likely it's something you want to hear, and in the end, it's only about getting back into power.

What's so amazing is the more I talk with the average Democrat about what they believe, the more I am astonished that the Democrats even have a base.

Democrats in congress aren't against the war, they are very much for it. In fact so much so that the final tally to withdraw our troops was 403-3 with 6 voting present in defeat of the bill. The Democrats don't even have the balls to vote for their own bill. John Murtha, the sponser of the bill was such a coward that he didn't even vote for his own bill.

Oh the Democrats will cry about it. That's the way they are. They do whatever they can to offend Republicans, they insult us in everyway, then they turn around and expect us to be friends with them? These little Smeagols in congress need to be stood up to. I really don't care that Republicans offend Democrats. Democrats get offended no matter what Republicans say, but they can accuse us of starving children, or taking medicine away from the elderly, or hating black people, or hispanics, or orientals. They've accused us of favoring the rich, killing innocent civilians, called us bloodthirsty, called us Nazis, called President Bush, Dan Quayle, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon "stupid", "idiot", "the dumbest president ever" taglines that are a staples in the Democrat lexicon whenever we have a Republican President.

Democrats are bullies, their bark is a lot bigger than their bite. They can get nasty and act like vicious animals, but once you stand up to them they turn out to be little cowards.

They can call Republicans Nazi's but don't we dare call them unpatriotic because didn't you know, only Democrats can be patriots?

Don't we dare call them cowards because that might offend them, but.... it's their duty to offend us.

You know, I am offended. I am offended that congresswoman Jean Schmidt apologized for the message she relayed from a soldier that said to John Murtha, "Cowards cut and run, Marines never do" Why should she apoloigize? Why is it Republicans responsibility to keep it civil and not the Democrats? Why can Democrats just continue to be completely uncivil and we can't do nothing to stop that? If they had any patriotism, they wouldn't mind the criticism of theirselves, since after that's their definition of patriotism "criticizing people"

The Democrat party is just a bunch of smeagols who are too afraid to tell you what they think on other issues that they have to do their damnest to keep the war on the tops of everybodies minds because that's the best way for them to hide who they truly are, people that are too cowardly to tell you what they really stand for. The more it smells like victory, the more they cry defeat. Then watch, once it become too obvious that we are going to win, they'll be to cowardly to say they were against it. They'll proudly claim they supported it the entire time. What a bunch of cowards. Stand firm for once, cowards.

Studying the new benefit that I can't sell, but if people want to buy it from me then that's a different story. Can you believe that? I can't go sell this, I have to let people come buy it from me. You'd think I was selling legalized illegal drugs with a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy.

I don't think I am doing anything wrong by mentioning this, but just to be on the safe side... I won't mention exactly what it is. Still, I have spent time studying this new product that I can't go sell because many people are going to demand it. Go figure, there's a demand, there's the product, and we have suppliers. The problem is, the demanders don't know where to buy the product and the merchandisers can't tell the demanders where they can buy that. Need a hint? Well, it has something to do with the federal government. Enough said.

If that wasn't reason enough to be upset with the Republicans, there's the refusal to drill in ANWAR? Are you kidding me? Republicans not wanting to do this? Did I hear that wrong? I don't know, I haven't even really looked at the news on the internet yet, and I know I should double check before I do that but I am so wrapped up in my job that I just don't care to.

Yeah, that's the other thing, sales. All I have to do is go sale a product. Put some miles on my car and the more I sale, the more money I make....Geez, blog or make money? That's a tough question. I'll take make money.

Not to mean I won't be blogging, but I decided that I am going to put every single ounce of effort into making as much money as I can for the rest of the year in large part because it is residual. I am calling it a day once it gets dark, and being winter time, about 5pm. For some reason, traffic still sucks in Baton Rouge.... and I thought our new mayor had all the answers about traffic. Who'da thought his solution was to beg the federal government for more money, then beg the tax payers for money.

You know, isn't that what all politicians have become? Mere beggars. They beg us to give them money to get them elected, then they turn around and beg us for more money in the form of taxes, then they demand that we give them even more by passing tax legislations. Not to sound like an infomercial but wait, there's more... Then, like Clinton and Bush, get on television and beg us to give even more money to their charitable event, all the while, they have more money than the majority of us.

The Republicans sound like conservatives when they try to get elected and many of us believe them. Democrats, well, who in the world knows what they believe in... either way, whoever wins we ought to just prepare ourselves for an unjustifiable screwing.

I've come to this conclusion of politicians, they look at the demographics of the area they live in, figure out what their constituents want to hear, join a party based on that... then when they get elected go off and party with their own little group of people. They put on the big show for us, as if they really are fighting for our beliefs, but would rather spend time impressing other big wigs in DeeCee, regardless of party, then actually standing up for what they said they were going to DeeCee to do. I didn't vote for George W. Bush because I wanted Harriet Meiers, a liberal President, a new Prescription drug benefit, runaway spending, and who knows what else? Fact is, I probably can count the number of things that I actually agree with George Bush on with one hand. If I wanted a Jackass for president, I would have voted for a Democrat.

One of the most annoying things about Democrats is because they have absolutely no clue what they believe in. They only know what party they belong to. It doesn't matter if Democrats disagree with them 100 percent, any Democrat is better than a Republican, in their book. I won't be a part of that, I know what I believe and why I believe what I believe. It's important to know that, it's important for me to stand by that. God knows, if the Democrats weren't so screwy, if I didn't think it was dangerous to let the Democrats win, I would have voted for anybody except Bush. I wish he were more aggressive with foriegn policy, I wish he weren't so aggressive with domestic policy.

Is there a party out there for me? I will still post content, but I ain't no politician. I won't beg for money, I'll earn it. I won't change my beliefs because you want me to, or because it seems popular to, I know what I believe and why I believe it.
